Resolution’s Innovation Group have put brought together a group of speakers in order to discuss new and innovative ways of working with in the family law sector.

The Innovation Group was set up in 2018 and in 2019 the group is working to deliver an innovation event for members, provide reviews of technology and online tools that can help members and lead on new approaches to products and services in the sector.

  • Karen Barham – Discussing the ‘Surrey Initiative’ Part 3 Protocol. The proposed reform to Part 3 of the FPR would see cases directed away from court by increasing the court’s power to refer a matter into an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process with sanctions where an out-of-court process has either failed to be considered or been unreasonably refused.
  • Hannah Markham QC – Discussing children arbitration as a means of resolving disputes, particularly when court time is so difficult to find at the moment and in light of the recent judicial comments about bringing private law proceedings, and the ability and ease with which it can be conducted remotely
  • Rhiannon Ford – Discussing divorce consulting and coaching in a remote world and touching on the benefits to clients and solicitors .

These short presentations will be followed by panel discussion facilitated by Lee Henderson & Claire Andrews
