Gain the skills to return to work from a career break with confidence.

10th, 17th, 24th November 2020 – Online

Gain the skills to return to work from a career break with confidence.

Research shows that when people are away from work they quickly lose confidence in their professional skills, their ability to navigate working relationships, and their capacity to keep everything going. If you have been away for a longer period, perhaps through family responsibilities such as parental leave, sickness or furlough, it can be even trickier to believe in yourself as a professional. Covid19 has added to the complexity but it also opens up new opportunities for working differently.

This is a series of 3 x 2-hour online workshops run over 3 weeks in November 2020. The confidence-building programme will set you up with an opportunity to thrive, both personally and professionally. The sessions will not be recorded and confidentiality will be respected. You will have space and time to talk about the challenges you face and begin to build a ‘return to work’ support network of people in a similar position.

Session 1 (10 November) will help you:

  • Identify what is important and what success looks like for you
  • Understand the impact of change
  • Clarify your expectations about the new world of work
  • Re-ignite your professional skills

Session 2 (17 November) will help you:

  • Save time and effort without lowering your standards (much)
  • Juggle your commitments
  • Learn how to say ‘no’ and when to say ‘yes’
  • Keep productivity up and stress levels down

Session 3 (24 November) will help you:

  • Build a strategy for taming the imposter monster and managing guilt
  • Avoid assumption and misunderstanding
  • Tackle courageous conversations
  • Construct pro-active solutions and plan your next steps

This course is relevant for people from any professional background.
