The role

Are you a legal aid solicitor specialising in children law? 🤔

Are you looking for a new position? 🚨

If you are a newly qualified or up to five-years PQE family solicitor, specialising in public law children, private law children and legal aid work and able to do your own advocacy please check out the position here: 🖱️

It may just change your life (don't take my word for it, check out our team reviews of working here at the above link) 💙

Candidate specification

We would expect you to have experience in a few of the following areas of family law, which could include:

1. Public Law Children (Care, Supervision, EPO and Wardship)
2. Private Law Children
3. Domestic Abuse & Non-Molestation / Occupation Orders
4. General family law matters (eg. Change of Name/Statutory Declarations)

Most of our solicitors choose to specialise in one or two areas of law from the above and their caseload and training is tailored towards areas where they wish to develop.

Work will generally consist of dealing with a client’s case from start to finish, including advocacy.

After you are trained on our internal systems, processes and you are fully inducted, you will be seeing new clients on your own on a regular basis and we would expect you to hit the ground running on children and family cases. You will be handling cases with minimal supervision and you will be expected to deal with all paperwork including letters, emails, applications and statements.

We want to help you develop professionally into a solicitor who is passionate about your work, know how to exercise your own judgement, help clients get what they need, progress the company and still enjoy life outside of work.

We would expect you to be tough under pressure, but open to developing a human relationship with clients, parties and colleagues.

We would also expect you to adhere to the Resolution code of conduct when dealing with all cases, clients, parties, solicitors and litigants in person.
