The role

Wallace Robinson & Morgan Solicitors are looking to recruit an experienced Family Lawyer ideally with 5 years + PQE. If you are our successful candidate you will join a thriving family department and assist in its ongoing and future development. You would be based at our Solihull office and we are happy to consider applicants seeking either full time or part time hours.

You would be dealing with privately funded work only, covering all aspects of Family Law including divorce, private children act proceedings, financial and cohabitation matters. You will work closely with the head of department to explore areas of growth, helping them to coach and mentor more junior members of the team, whilst having the opportunity to develop your own caseload and be supported with your own career progression.

Wallace Robinson & Morgan was established in 1855 and has served the West Midlands community diligently since that time which means we are rewarded with client loyalty which spans generations of families and an impressive reputation in the local area which, in the digital age, has been able to spread further afield geographically with ease. Our Family Department regularly acts for clients based in London and those with high net worth. Our cases are diverse and present a varied range of challenges.

As a team our Family Department prides itself on taking a collaborative and constructive approach to matters where possible with the Head of Department being heavily involved in the West Midlands Collaborative Family Law Group. All members of the team are expected to be Resolution members and a qualification in collaborative law or mediation would be preferable but is not necessary.

Candidate specification

The ideal candidate must be a team player with a willingness to get involved in marketing initiatives and business development to raise your profile and that of the Family Law team at Wallace Robinson & Morgan Solicitors. Good IT and communication skills are also important as is a friendly and approachable persona.

You will need to have good organisational skills and computer literacy. You will be responsible for meeting fee targets and appropriately managing billing procedures and recovery of payments. You will be willing to supervise and mentor junior members of the team and encouraged to utilise the support they can provide.
