The role

We are looking for a bright and forward-thinking family lawyer with a minimum of 4 to 5 years post qualification experience (solicitor or FILEX) to join us at our head office at Chilgrove, near Chichester - the role comes with flexible working.

This is an opportunity to join us at an exciting time as we continue to grow the firm and enhance our reputation as one of the leading specialist family law firms on the South Coast. The role offers excellent prospects for career progression.

We offer a London-quality service on the South Coast and so the candidate will have exposure to high-quality work. We have considerable experience in handling financial remedy cases involving substantial assets (and regularly deal with top London boutique firms on our cases) and complex private law children cases (including with an international element) , We are also a highly respected firm in non-court dispute resolution, with four mediators and three collaborative lawyers among our ranks. We also specialise in modern family work, including surrogacy, fertility and same-sex families.

We are family-friendly employers, support flexible working and provide excellent support in terms of wellbeing, including monthly therapeutic support and twice weekly team exercise classes (voluntary!).

Candidate specification

We are looking for a principled and people-focused family lawyer who is fully committed to the Resolution ethos and currently undertake a mixed caseload of financial and children work. Candidates should be committed to being a Resolution member.

Collaborative training is a plus; however, if the successful candidate has not yet undertaken collaborative training, this will be offered, given the practice’s strong focus on dispute resolution and full commitment to supporting the professional development of all its lawyers.

The successful applicant should be a committed team player, have a strong interest in marketing and networking and be enthusiastic and excited about participating in the continuing development of the practice.
