I qualified as a Legal Executive in 1992, specialising in family law and civil litigation. I studied whilst working full time and qualified as a Solicitor in 2005. I joined Hart Reade in June 2007 having previously practised in two other local firms. I was appointed as an Associate at Hart Reade in June 2010. I now practise as a family law solicitor in Hailsham. I am also a collaborative solicitor.

I have been a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel since 1999, a qualification which requires re-accreditation every 5 years.  I am also a member of Resolution – first for family law.

Having specialised in family law for 30 years, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise which enables me to give clear, informed advice to my clients and work towards achieving the best outcome possible. Many of my clients come to me from personal recommendation.

I am also a collaborative solicitor and I am committed to try to resolve matters by agreement.

The breakdown of a relationship is a very difficult time for all concerned and I will always deal with matters sensitively and empathetically. I recognise that clients want to resolve matters with minimum acrimony and expense.

It is important that clients are given clear, easy to understand advice and are not given unrealistic expectations both in relation to the outcome of their case and the costs involved.

I encourage my clients to try and resolve matters amicably and without the need for Court proceedings wherever possible. However, sometimes a more robust approach is necessary and I am able to effectively argue a client’s case both in direct dealings with an opponent and in Court.

I am well aware that the cost of instructing a Solicitor is something that is a real concern for clients. I am able to offer a flexible approach to dealing with matters from taking on the case and dealing with it in its entirety to giving advice and guidance to a client dealing with matters themselves. My clients can rest assured that I will deal with their case in the most appropriate and cost effective way.

Instructing a Solicitor is sometimes viewed as a daunting prospect. my aim is to offer a friendly, efficient service to my clients and deal with any concerns they may have from the outset.

I offer a free initial interview to give general advice and guidance and discuss the options available. There is no obligation to instruct me.
