Mark Chanter

Mark is a senior consultant in Stephens Scown’s family team, based in Truro.

He qualified in December 1981 and joined the firm in 2017.

He has over thirty five years’ experience and specialises in divorces involving business structures, farming partnerships and complex pensions. He also advises on property disputes between unmarried couples and cohabitation agreements to prevent such property disputes arising. Mark is part of the family business team, working with estate planning and corporate colleagues to preserve family wealth through pre and post nuptial agreements.

Mark is also a qualified mediator and collaborative lawyer. Mark helps clients through a difficult stage in life by creating bespoke solutions, both inside and outside of the court process.

Mark is active in the local community and is the Falmouth Harbour Commissioner, Honorary Solicitor for the Royal Cornwall Show.

In his spare time, he enjoys sailing, gardening and walking.
