The role
You will be expected to take on and manage a mixed caseload of family and matrimonial files. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 2 years previous experience, ideally this would be post-qualification but if you have pre-qualification experience in running a caseload autonomously you are encouraged to apply.
Roles and responsibilities include:
o General admin tasks such as opening new client files, sending out client care letters, filing, photocopying and management of your appointment diary.
o Communicating with clients by telephone, email and letter.
o Communicating with the court listings office and Regional Divorce Centre by telephone and email.
o Drafting and running court applications eg. Divorce petition, financial remedy, Children's Act, TOLATA through to final hearing.
o Keeping up to date with training and relevant changes in the law.
o To assist with the organisation of occasional marketing events hosted or organised by the firm and/or department.
Office:
All staff are expected to assist with the maintenance of running a small but busy office. The firm also have multiple offices and it may be necessary from time to time to attend or work from other offices.
Roles and responsibilities include:
o Keeping your working environment tidy and organised and ensuring all filing is completed promptly so that people always know where things are
o Having a good working knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and office procedures generally- ongoing training provided
o Being polite and courteous to clients, staff and all other visitors at all times

Candidate specification

The ideal candidate will be someone who:
o Has at least 2 years prior experience in running a caseload.
o Medium to Long Term commitment to the firm
o Good computer skills and excellent attention to detail are required
o Excellent written English Skills
o Good manner with clients, staff and third parties to create good relationships and to ensure repeat business
