Specialist Accreditation
Resolution’s Specialist Accreditation Scheme recognises members who demonstrate skilled expertise in specific areas of family law or family finances, and follow our Code of Practice
Resolution usually holds two rounds of Specialist Accreditation each year. The spring round is open to family lawyers and the Autumn round is for both lawyers and financial professionals. The Autumn round will not run in 2026 and the next round will be in early 2027.
Resolution’s specialist accreditation is a mark of excellence in practice, recognised by the public, fellow professionals, the judiciary and the Legal Aid Agency.
Accredited specialists can be easily identified on our member search directory and can promote their specialist status with our accreditation logo and client leaflet.
Gaining specialist accreditation is a rigorous two-part process assessed by skilled Resolution experts. Candidates must demonstrate how they meet the competencies, whilst embedding Resolution’s code of Practice. Assessment involves:
- A core assignment set over a specific weekend. Assessing your ability to fulfil required competencies.
- A portfolio of evidence demonstrating expertise in two areas of practice. You have approximately eight weeks to complete the portfolio.
