Our question setters and assessors are an essential part of the the specialist accreditation scheme. They are all members and - with the rest of the accreditation team - are responsible for setting and maintaining the high quality standards of practice of the applicants to the scheme.

Lawyer scheme assessors

Janet Broadley

Janet has been a member of Resolution for over 10 years and specialises in all aspects of domestic and international family law, particularly matters involving children. Janet won Jordan’s International Family Lawyer of the Year 2014.

 

Sarah Crilly

Sarah has been a member of Resolution for 16 years. She is an Associate with Ward Hadaway and has practised family law for 18 years. Sarah deals in all areas of family law, with particular emphasis in divorce and finance work. She has been rated by Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.

 

Kate Hamilton

Kate has been a member of Resolution for 11 years. She is a partner with Russell-Cooke LLP based in their Bedford Row office and has practised family law for over 13 years.

 

 

Edward Heaton Head SHotEdward Heaton

Ed has been a member of Resolution for 13 years, since he began practising family law. Ed is collaboratively trained and a Resolution mediator. He is Chair of the West & North Yorkshire region.

 

 

Samantha Little

Samantha has been a member of Resolution for 17 years. She is a partner with Russell-Cooke LLP and is head of the children department. Samantha is a member of the Legal Aid Committee and in the past was a member of the Children Committee.

 

 

Jo-anne Lomax

Jo-anne has been a member of Resolution for 15 years. She is a Partner at Morecrofts Solicitors and has practised family law for 25 years. Jo is a specialist practitioner in Family Finance and Child Law Advocacy.

Cris is head of the International Family Law team at Ben Hoare Bell LLP. Her specialist case load covers forced marriage and honour based violence, child abduction, trafficking, FGM and all forms of violence against women and children.

 

David McHardy Head ShotDavid McHardy

David has been a member of Resolution for 30 years (including Chair), and practised family law for 36 years. He is a consultant with Jones Myers LLP, collaboratively trained and a Resolution mediator. David is also a Deputy District Judge and Lieutenant Bailiff of the Royal Court of Guernsey.

Priya Palanivel has vast experience in all aspects of family law but her specialist focus is in Divorce and Family finance matters, often with an International  element.  As an accredited specialist Member of Resolution, Priya is committed to adopting a constructive approach to family cases.

 

James Pirrie Head ShotJames Pirrie

James is a Partner at Family Law in Partnership, and is a member of Resolution’s National Committee. He is a mediator, arbitrator, accredited specialist and collaborative practitioner, who also lectures extensively and has co-authored several publications.

Zoe Porter has been a member of Resolution for 10 years. She is a partner with Michelmores LLP and has practised family law for 13 years. Zoe is also collaboratively trained and is a member of the Devon Collaborative Pod.

Elizabeth Sulkin has been a member of Resolution for over 20 years, and is a Resolution accredited specialist family lawyer. She is Head of Family at the north London firm LMK Law and has specialised in the area of family law for over 30 years.

 

Juliet Thomas Head ShotJuliet Thomas

Juliet has been accredited by Resolution for 17 years, is a Resolution trained collaborative lawyer, and a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Advanced Scheme.  She specialises in divorce, family finance, and private law children. Juliet is, also, a contributing author to 101 Questions Answered About Separating With Children.

Zen is a long-time member of Resolution and is a Resolution-trained accredited family mediator, direct child consultant, professional practice consultant and collaborative lawyer as well as being a resolution-accredited specialist family solicitor, assessor for the Law Society and Children Arbitrator.

 

Philip Way Head ShotPhilip Way

Philip has been a member of Resolution since 1992, when he started practising family law. He is a partner with Mills & Reeve LLP and Philip is collaboratively trained and a Resolution mediator. Philip was on the National Committee of Resolution between 2003 and 2009.

Tom came into the financial services industry in 1994. He is a family & civil/commercial mediator and member of the College of Mediators. He is also an accredited adviser with Resolution, trained to participate in the collaborative process as a financial neutral.

Steve’s career in financial advice began in 1998, and he joined Myers Davison Ginger Ltd in 2010. As a Chartered Financial Planner he advises clients on all aspects of personal wealth.

Phil O’Connor has been a Resolution Accredited Independent Financial Adviser since 2007.  He set up Whitewell Financial Planning and The Divorce IFA in 2008 having worked in accountancy practices for 11 years.

 

 

Fiona Sharp Head ShotFiona Sharp

Fiona Sharp is a Chartered Independent Financial Adviser who has practised since 1995. She has specialised in financial planning on divorce and separation since 2002, and has been Accredited by Resolution since 2006. She has extensive experience in acting as a financial neutral in Collaborative Practice.
