Apply to become an assessor
We are recruiting assessors to join our new Representing Children and Young People Accreditation and our existing Specialist Accreditation Scheme to mark candidate papers and create case studies and questions.
Why apply?
This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your involvement with Resolution to join a team of assessors who uphold the rigour and high Standards of practice that our recognised by our accreditation programmes. It’s also an opportunity to develop a new skill, contributing to your continuous professional development (CPD).
Assessors are paid £190 to write case studies and set questions, £48 per full application paper marked and £21 for each reaccreditation paper marked. Resolution provides training, support, guidance and a marking scheme to support assessors with their role.
Who can apply?
To apply to be an assessor for the new Resolution Representing Children and Young People scheme you will need to hold The Law Society Accreditation in Children Law and a current Enhanced DBS check.
To apply for the Specialist Accreditation Scheme assessor roles you must be a current Resolution member with Accredited Specialist status. We are specifically looking for assessors to mark the Core assessment and for assessors to set and mark the questions for the following specialisms: domestic abuse; complex financial remedies lower and higher incomes; cohabitation and TOLATA; public and private children law; forced marriage and ‘honour’-based violence; and pensions.
Important features for all assessors are that it is necessary to work to set deadlines and have a passion for practice standards.
