Annual Awareness Week 2023

Our annual Awareness Week will take place on 27 November - 1 December. This year, to celebrate our 40th Anniversary, we’ll be using Awareness Week to launch our Vision for Family Justice.

Awareness Week is the perfect opportunity for us to set out our stall and tell policymakers the changes we know will help more families resolve matters more constructively.

This year, to celebrate our 40th Anniversary, we’ll be using Awareness Week to launch our Vision for Family Justice, and be focusing on the need for cohabitation reform during the week.

In previous years, we have called this week “Good Divorce Week”, but given the messages we’ll be pushing around cohabitation, have changed that for this year.

On Monday 27 November, we will launch our blueprint for a future family justice system, as we unveil our Vision for Family Justice, at a special parliamentary event.

Throughout the week, we’re calling on our members to demonstrate the value of Resolution’s collective voice, highlighting how we have helped to make divorce less confrontational over the last 40 years and how we plan to shape the future of family justice.

Our Vision highlights the changes we want to see, as we stand up for and support family justice professionals in creating a system that works for you and your clients.

Get Involved

Get involved in this week of activity, by engaging with MPs, policymakers and the public to raise awareness about our Vision for Family Justice. We’ll provide the tools for you to write to your MPs, get local media coverage and run local events.

We will share additional materials soon to help you promote our Awareness Week including a template press release, an invite to meet with your MP and social media graphics.

Vision for Family Justice

Resolution’s Vision for Family Justice calls for a whole raft of changes to policy, legislation and processes in order to improve the lives of children and families in England and Wales. The recommendations in the Vision are based on views and experiences of over a thousand Resolution members.
