Session 1 overview – Autumn Budget 2025 Update
A focused budget update from George Uglow, a Chartered Financial Planner. This is for family practitioners exploring how the latest Budget impacts individuals navigating divorce for them and their clients. With important potential changes expected to taxation, pensions, capital gains, and inheritance planning, it’s never been more vital for divorcees—whether newly separated or rebuilding their financial future—to stay informed. George will unpack what the Budget means for asset division, settlement planning, and family wealth structuring.
Meet the presenter:
George is a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, with over 17 years of experience within the industry. He is an NHS pension specialist and part of the Evelyn Partners national divorce and family team. He enjoys using cashflow modelling to provide his clients with a clear overview of their financial position.
He can advise on all aspects of personal financial planning but has particular expertise with pensions and planning for retirement or supporting individuals who are navigating a significant life event.
George works alongside Family Lawyers, both pre and post settlement. This could be providing guidance around pensions, completing a cashflow forecasting exercise or establishing a robust financial plan and ongoing investment strategy.
George also delivers training and seminars to professionals and pension members to help them navigate the complexities of pensions and understand how any changes could impact them.
