Relaunching Essex Resolution: a new chapter

Back to blogs

I am delighted, both personally and as a committee member, to share the exciting news of the relaunch of Essex Resolution.

This relaunch marks more than a fresh start. It represents a renewed commitment to strengthening professional collaboration, raising standards, and supporting individuals and organisations across Essex to resolve family disputes with clarity, compassion and confidence.

Why regional Resolution matters

As a local network aligned with the values of Resolution, regional Resolution groups bring together family justice professionals who are committed to a non-confrontational, solution-focused approach. In a landscape where families face increasingly complex challenges, the need for constructive resolution has never been greater. Whether through mediation, collaborative law, arbitration, or solicitor-led negotiation, our shared aim remains the same: to reduce conflict and promote better outcomes for families and children.

What the relaunch means

As committee members, we have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that Essex Resolution becomes a vibrant, supportive, and forward-thinking regional group. The relaunch of Essex Resolution signals:

  • Renewed energy
  • A strengthened professional network across the county
  • Opportunities for training and development
  • A clearer platform for networking and collaboration
  • Greater visibility for Resolution’s Code of Practice across Essex

A fresh focus on community and connection

One of the committee’s key priorities is rebuilding connections within the Essex region. It is time to reconnect, and we hope Essex Resolution can be a space where:

  • Professionals feel supported and inspired
  • Best practice is shared openly
  • Difficult issues can be discussed constructively
  • Collaboration replaces competition

Strong professional relationships ultimately lead to better client outcomes. When we work together, families benefit.

The relaunch event

To mark the relaunch, the committee are hosting a special afternoon event bringing together family law professionals across Essex. We will be joined by Rosanne Godfrey-Lockwood and James Nottage of 4PB Chambers, and Tina Harrington and David Stevens of Trinity Chambers. Our speakers will be discussing legal updates on a range of family law topics and will be looking into recent developments and practical implications for practitioners.

The event is taking place on 5 March 2026 from 2.30pm at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford. To book your place, please visit the Eventbrite page: https://lnkd.in/e2E3iDcy Spaces are limited so early booking is encouraged.

Looking ahead

The relaunch is only the beginning. Over the coming months, the committee will be announcing exciting events and opportunities focusing on networking and skill development.

Being a part of the committee during this relaunch has been a privilege. I would like to recognise my fellow committee members: Filomena Sterkaj of Stowe Family Law (co-chair), Lousie Buttery of Family Law Partners (co-chair), Phoebe Trott of Stowe Family Law, Shelley Cumbers of Knights, Remyhs Baker of Pinney Talfourd Solicitors, Aimee Jones of Sternberg Reed, Gail Thompson of Levy Solicitors, and Ellis Crow of Holmes & Hills Solicitors. It has been great to work alongside such dedicated professionals whose collective energy and commitment have made this relaunch possible.

We look forward to welcoming you to the new chapter of Essex Resolution and to seeing our fellow members at the relaunch event on 5 March 2026.
