Clear advice. Rigorous analysis. Discreet support through complex family matters.

Called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2001, I bring over 20 years’ experience at the Bar and a wealth of practical insight to my work as a senior legal consultant. My career includes service as a Senior Crown Prosecutor and independent practice in family law.

Through Crown Legal, I provide independent family-law consultancy to private clients, solicitors and law firms. Clients work directly with me, with particular emphasis on complex financial matters, arrangements for children and disputes involving international connections.

Based in Epsom, Surrey, I support clients across London and nationally, with remote and in person consultations available. To discuss whether Crown Legal is suitable for your needs, please contact me for a free introductory call of up to 15 minutes. This is a discussion about your requirements and the scope of my services, rather than substantive legal advice.

FINANCIAL REMEDIES AND PROPERTY DISPUTES

My work includes financial remedies involving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families, complex disclosure and substantial assets, including businesses, property, pensions, trusts and overseas interests.

I examine financial information and supporting evidence, identify inconsistencies or gaps in disclosure, and clarify issues requiring further investigation or specialist advice. I also advise on TOLATA and co-owned property disputes, including those arising after the breakdown of unmarried relationships.

CHILDREN AND INTERNATIONAL FAMILY MATTERS

I support clients with child arrangements, safeguarding concerns, relocation and family matters with a cross-border dimension, including connections between England and Wales and the Gulf states.

My approach keeps children’s welfare central while helping parents understand the legal issues, evaluate the evidence and prepare carefully for the decisions ahead.

FAMILY AND CRIMINAL-LAW OVERLAP

“My background as a Senior Crown Prosecutor informs my work where family disputes involve domestic abuse, coercive control, sexual allegations, safeguarding concerns, police evidence or parallel criminal proceedings. I analyse witness accounts, documentary and digital material, and evidential inconsistencies to help clients and their legal advisers understand the issues. This experience is particularly relevant to matters concerning child arrangements, prohibited-steps orders, specific-issue orders and non-molestation orders. All work is undertaken within an agreed scope of non-reserved consultancy, with specialist advice or representation sought where required.”

HOW I WORK

Complex family disputes require sound judgment as well as attention to detail. I bring a direct, analytical approach to legal research, evidence review, drafting and strategic case preparation.

I explain the strengths, weaknesses and gaps in the available material clearly. Where agreement is achievable, I support constructive and proportionate solutions. Where matters remain contested, I help clients and their existing legal advisers organise the evidence and identify the issues that need to be addressed.

Discretion and a clearly defined scope of work underpin each instruction. Services, fees and timescales are agreed at the outset.

“Depending on the agreed instruction, practical outputs can include an evidence chronology; a review identifying gaps or inconsistencies in financial disclosure; forensic evidence review; Merits based advice; focused legal research; document analysis and written material for consideration by the client or their instructed legal advisers. The deliverables, fees and timescales are agreed before work begins.”

LOCATION AND LANGUAGES

Based in Surrey, I work with clients across London, the South of England and nationally, with remote consultancy available for England and Wales matters involving international clients.

English is my native language. I also speak fluent Arabic and intermediate French.

PROFESSIONAL STATUS

I do not hold a current practising certificate. Through Crown Legal, I provide independent, non-reserved legal consultancy.

To discuss a potential instruction, please send a brief outline of your matter and any key dates. Please do not include confidential case papers in an initial enquiry.
