I have practised family law for over thirty years. I am sympathetic and conscious of the need for amicability and in saving costs. I believe in proportionality and amicable and conciliatory techniques. However, I also advise when a more assertive and robust approach is needed, such as when no progress is forthcoming from the other party. Being down to earth we believe in a “non stuffy” approach to complex issues. As solicitors we need to be supportive but focused. Understanding the need to be efficient is key.
