Tim Whitney

Tim is an experienced family lawyer and mediator who advises on the full range of issues arising out of family and relationship breakdown. This includes financial settlements, children matters, and wealth protection.

Tim has particular expertise in nuptial agreements, unmarried couples and cases involving sportspeople, family businesses, trusts, or an international element, particularly the Channel Islands.

Tim has been ranked as an “Associate to watch” in Chambers and Partners since 2019 with interviewees commenting he is outstanding lawyer and mediator who is incredibly skilled and successful. Tim has also been recognised in Legal 500 as a “next generation lawyer” every year since 2017.  The lastest feedback was that he is an excellent mediator and lawyer. He has a great manner with clients, backed up with excellent legal knowledge.

Tim is the vice chair of the Resolution Dispute Resolution Committee and is a Law Society accredited mediator. Tim also chairs a peer discussion group for family mediators based in The City and sits as the Resolution representative on the FMC Accreditation review.
