Resolution’s success is the result of work and time provided by members for members. Your contribution is vital to the work of Resolution and has a direct impact on the professional lives of your colleagues, peers and the families you work with.
Becoming a member of Resolution committee is a rewarding way to share your knowledge, expertise and talent with Resolution’s members. Two committees are currently recruiting: the Children Committee; and the International Committee.
On average, committees meet five to six times each year, at the moment all committees are meeting online. Preparation before meetings is usually required, as is some work to complete tasks between meetings.

The Children Committee works to protect children in the family justice system and help members put children at the centre of family justice. The committee would like to recruit new members, including barrister members. Specialist knowledge of public children law would be very helpful to the committee.
This is an opportunity to join a committee that brings together a mix of expertise in a relaxed, friendly, respectful and enjoyable environment to shape policy, and provide information, training, publications and resources for members.
The International Committee works to encourage, improve and promote good practice in the field of international family law. This is an important and busy time for the committee so the committee would like to recruit new members, including an abduction specialist. Specialist knowledge of Sharia law would also be very helpful to the committee.
The International Committee brings together diverse international practitioners with a broad set of expertise across the field of international family law and provides a friendly, convivial, and informal space for sharing experience and building on that experience for the benefit of all Resolution members.
