About

These pages provide information about this Resolution Committee and the work we do, keep you up to date with our events, provide news stories about our Group and help you discover how to become involved. You’ll also be able to find out more about the West Midlands region and browse our sources of useful links and contacts.

The West Midlands Resolution Group includes the Black Country, Wolverhampton, Worcester, and Birmingham. We have a large, active and fully representative Resolution Committee who come from a variety of firms, locations, and professions.

Resolution is traditionally made up of family legal professionals, however increasingly our members are also from a wide range of other professions that work with families or are interested in Family Law issues including private bankers, accountants, and investment brokers.

Our members come from firms large and small and deal with both private and publicly funded work. All areas of family law are covered from financial to children matters, marriage to cohabitees, and same sex relationships.

Our Purpose

It goes almost without saying that, as a regional group of Resolution, we believe in a constructive and non confrontational approach to family law matters. We also try and assist the National Committee in its efforts to improve the family justice system.

We are an active Committee that aims to provide education and training via seminars and networking opportunities on a regular basis for our members. Socially we also hold a number of events including the Summer and Christmas party. At each of these we do our best to raise as much money for local charities as we possibly can. Please have a look at our events page to see what is coming up and come along and join us. You can also follow what’s going on using our Twitter feed @ResWestMids
