Dispute Resolution Call for Evidence – Resolution’s response to the Ministry of Justice
The essence of good Resolution family practice is to assist people through their family dispute in a way that best serves their personal and family interests, especially if there are children involved.
Resolution supports and promotes a wide range of out of court dispute resolution processes. Our members help clients reach agreement through mediation, the collaborative process, solicitor negotiation, arbitration, roundtable discussions, private FDRs and other processes. We are also a leading provider of training for family lawyers in dispute resolution. We introduced mediation training in 1996 and Collaborative practice training started in 2003.
In this response to the Ministry of Justice’s Call for Evidence on the Future of Dispute Resolution, we include the results of a survey completed by over 300 members.
