We know that time is precious for our members and that we are more likely to retain information when it’s presented in small chunks.

Each session is designed to introduce fresh perspectives and drive lasting behaviour change.

Session 3 overview – Around the world in 80 days: a whistle-stop tour of international Family Law

Tips and traps for cross-border divorce and finance cases, with input from members of the international committee, involving several different jurisdictions and with a particular focus on practical tips and guidance including:

1. Being alert to the speed of foreign proceedings;

2. Avoiding seeking orders that may not be enforceable; and

3. Ascertaining whether a stay or Hemain injunction could be effective.

Who is this session for?

This session is for family lawyers who, whether sporadically or routinely, deal with matters involving cross-border issues. Our presentation will be aimed at practitioners new at getting to grips with the nuances of jurisdictional interplay as well as those seeking a refresher.

Meet the presenters:

Nick also champions the Greener Litigation Pledge, which aims to reduce the impact of litigation upon the environment.

He is recommended by The Legal 500 as a ‘Leading Associate’:
