Trainer: Angela Lake-Carroll
Trainer: Suzy Power

A special limited edition online session with Angela Lake-Carroll and Suzy Power, looking at and discussing the safeguarding issues involved in mediation in an online environment.

17th June (10am-12pm)

Online

We have all needed to change the ways in which we work with our mediation clients. Most of us are now working online and using a range of visual technologies.

It is a difficult time for clients who are thinking about mediating the end of their relationship, considering future arrangements for their children and worrying about how they will manage financially. Many remain in their homes together.

There are often tensions as they juggle working from home, childcare, home schooling and caring for elderly relatives. In common with many people our clients are coping with considerable emotional stresses and practical difficulties. Trying to find ways to assess vulnerabilities and in particular assessing the safety of individuals and any children when working remotely presents a significant challenge for mediators.

This workshop is designed to provide mediators with an opportunity to explore their concerns about assessing risk and suitability when working remotely.

It will be limited to 20 people as it will be interactive with an opportunity for debate, discussions and a focus on case studies.

Further workshops will be organised for those mediators who are unable to get a place on this workshop.
