The role
Hopkin Murray Beskine is looking for an established solicitor with strong private family law experience with at least 8 years PQE.
The successful candidate should have experience in divorce and finance, separation, cohabitation and private children law. Experience in domestic abuse would be an asset.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong track record of running a privately funded caseload. The role will involve advising on a variety of family matters, and providing support to other team members as needed.
We expect the successful candidate to have panel accreditation, or be working towards it. We are seeking someone who enjoys and will be actively involved in marketing and business development. They should have a strong network and the ability to create a following.
Our private family department solicitors are members of the Law Society Family Law Panel and Family Mediation Council, with Resolution specialisms in financial provision in divorce, domestic abuse, child abduction, and forced marriage and honour-based violence. The firm has ICACU panel membership. The work carried out by our team includes:
• divorce and civil partnership separations
• financial remedy proceedings, including high net worth cases. This ranges from settlements negotiated at an early stage, through to highly contested financial remedy and children proceedings.
• CAO disputes, including those involving issues of alienation and hostile parenting
• pre-nuptial agreements
We offer flexible/hybrid working arrangements supported by a dedicated team, and can consider part-time or condensed hours to fit around family and other responsibilities.
We have a collaborative, friendly workplace, based in Islington, North London, involving regular departmental team meetings and easy cross-departmental consultation with our housing and public law colleagues. We have a modern practice management system and excellent IT and billing support.
