Alice Scambler

I am a specialist family law solicitor and a Resolution qualified family mediator described within the Legal 500 as “astute and sensible”, an “extremely able partner” and “a pleasure to work with”, “having particular expertise in dividing family assets”. With  over 15 years’ experience practising family law in the Kent area, I have exclusively worked at Legal 500 and Chambers rated law firms, including as a Partner.

Much of my practice is in divorce and resolving the financial aspect of the separation, including cases where there are high levels of assets and complex trusts arrangements, pensions and company structures. I take a holistic approach, regularly working with other professionals in the financial, actuarial and tax advice industries.

I assist clients in preserving their assets both prior to and during marriage in the form of pre and post nuptial agreements.

I have a high level of expertise in cases involving children, working to achieve solutions for issues such as living and spending time arrangements, parental responsibility, schooling, matters in which there are safeguarding issues and internal and external relocation with the best interests of the children at the heart of my advice.

I am known for my amicable and conciliatory approach to cases, and have a very high success rate of settling cases at an early stage without needing adjudication by the Court. In my mediation practice, I assist families in reaching resolutions that suit their particular family’s individual needs which is very successful in resolving matters and keeping an amicable co-parenting relationship following separation.

Where Court proceedings are required, I adopt a commercial and strategic approach and have excellent links with barrister’s chambers to ensure the highest level of representation for her clients.

A founding member of Kent Young Resolution and a previous board member of the Sevenoaks Chamber of Commerce, I am regularly involved in community events and supporting junior members of the profession.

I am a mother of two and any spare time is spent with my family, walking our dogs and coaching children’s football. I am an advocate for mental health issues and am currently raising money for Mind Charity by running the London Marathon.
