I am an extremely well qualified matrimonial and family law Solicitor, with over 30 years post-qualification experience. Practising in Hull, Bristol and Ledbury. I am now offering the opportunity to act for clients from any location, as I have joined the new hybrid model of law firms at Setfords, offering an opportunity to consult a Solicitor on-line. The advantage of this model is that for my clients, I can provide a very cost-effective and convenient service as they can easily access the advice online via Teams, and I am able to charge less than high street practices as I do not have the same overheads.

I have a wealth of knowledge and experience to bring to my law practice, having studied initially Philosophy (BA) and Philosophy of Mind (MA). As well as the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and Law Society Finals Course (LSF). I am currently undertaking an MSc in Psychology. I have also been a successful self-employed Managing Director of two companies for 16 years. Inevitably, family law is very personal.

I specialize in all aspects of private family law, including Divorce and Civil Partnerships. Financial issues arising from this. Matters relating to children (Child Arrangement Orders and disputes as to what used to be called residence, contact, specific issues and prohibited steps orders). Separation Agreements. Cohabitee Agreements. The avoidance of disputes potentially with either Pre or Post Nuptial Settlements. Cohabitee disputes and TOLATA (Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996) claims. Domestic Violence Issues. Change of Name Deeds.

I aim to work with clients to resolve family disputes in a sensitive and family-based way. I am a member of Resolution and I follow the Resolution code of practice. Therefore, you can be confident that you will receive advice that considers the needs of the whole family, in particular the needs of the children. Most of all, I do everything I can to help you reach a fair and workable outcome as quickly and cost-effectively as possible. I have extensive experience in all aspects of family law and can assist you to resolve issues either through the traditional solicitor negotiation route, mediation, arbitration, or through the court.

This is to give us an opportunity to get to know one another and for me to give you some basic, broad advice, at the outset, identify the issues in your case, and advise of the likely costs involved.
