Claire is a Partner and Mediator, with over twenty-three years experience in family law.

Claire has a reputation for addressing complex finance cases with a commercial and settlement- focussed approach and for helping families in relation to resolving arrangements for children with a pragmatic approach to seek to achieve a non-court resolution (where possible) to avoid delay.

Claire has significant experience of assisting family businesses to preserve assets.   For persons who are setting up home together, it might be a living together agreement, pre/post-nuptial agreement alongside estate and business planning structures.

Claire helps families both in and out of court to resolve arrangements for children

Claire has developed an international expertise previously being part of a network of international law firms to assist persons who have interests overseas.

Claire is an accredited mediator and works with child-inclusive specialists to ensure the voice of a child is “heard” relating to arrangements for children.

Claire has over the year developed a specialism relating to inheritance claims.

Claire works closely with accountants, and our in-house teams to structure settlements in a tax efficient way.

Claire’s mediation expertise enables families to talk, to reach their own understandings relating to all issues; relating to financial issues or to address the arrangements for their children to formulate a parenting plan.

Claire has chaired the Family Law Committee of Birmingham law Society for nine years and is a member of the Advisory Group for the Family Section of The Law Society.
