Darren Young

Prior to founding Thomas & Young Wealth Management, I spent 15 years working for Lloyds Bank predominantly within the Wealth Management and Private Banking arm of the business. This involved providing tailored advice, and building long term relationships with both personal and corporate clients.

As a consequence of working within this arena and for such a large organisation, I developed specialist knowledge in Retirement Planning, Investment Planning, Protection and Inheritance tax Planning.

To differentiate myself from other financial advisers I have achieved the highest financial planning qualifications, and have been awarded Fellow Status by the Personal Finance Society and Chartered Insurance Institute. I am also a Chartered Financial Planner.

I am maintaining this advanced knowledge through continued professional development, and intend to further this via a Masters Degree.

Through experience, I understand the mental, physical and financial strains that a Divorce can bring to a family and have chosen to become a Resolution Associate to help and support individuals where I can.

My two children, Bernie and Isla keep me busy and we love spending time together with friends and family. In my spare time I like to keep active and have many hobbies such as golf, football, squash, cycling, travelling and walking.
