Hannah joined Harbour Family Law in November 2016. Hannah has previously worked at major law firms in Dorset and Gloucestershire since her qualification in 2011, specialising in all areas of private family law, particularly financial settlement and arrangements for children upon separation or divorce. Hannah is keen to work with her clients to understand their priorities and achieve the best outcome for them.

Hannah completed a MSc in Psychology at Bristol University in September 2016, focusing on research into reducing conflict within the divorce and separation process. Some of her work has been published in the Family Law journal, and can be accessed here: https://www.familylaw.co.uk/news_and_comment/the-impact-of-contact-and-living-arrangements-on-a-child-s-psychological-development#.WzUD7i2ZO-o

Hannah is now undertaking a PhD at Bristol University part-time – in addition to acting on behalf of family law clients at Harbour Family Law –  combining aspects of family law and social psychology. Her research focusses on the importance of emotional support, as well as legal advice, during separation and divorce.

Hannah implemented and coordinates Harbour Family Law’s volunteer work for the Avon and Bristol Law Centre’s virtual law clinic. This provides legal advice and support to people in the South West who are likely to experience significant barriers in accessing legal advice. Further information is available here: link https://www.ablc.org.uk/lawyers-in-the-community.html

Hannah is also a trustee of Relate Avon, which provides counselling services for anyone in need of relationship support.
