Henry Hood

Henry is the Head of Hunters’ Family department, and has over 20 years’ experience in family law following a career in commercial litigation.

Henry is a specialist in high value divorce with extensive experience of financial claims involving substantial wealth and complex UK and foreign assets. His work includes sensitive children matters, where his expertise and understanding are highly regarded. Henry also regularly advises on pre-nuptial agreements in the context of family wealth protection planning.

Henry’s clients include UHNW individuals and their spouses, ranging from bankers, entrepreneurs, senior lawyers and substantial property owners, both urban and rural. Henry has a particular focus on landed estates due to his farming background which means he is particularly conscious of the range of complexities arising in such cases, including dynastic trusts, partnerships and liquidity.

Henry is an accredited Resolution Specialist in advanced financial provision and private children law; he is an accredited mediator, a collaborative lawyer and a family arbitrator (finance only).

Henry is highlighted as a Top Recommended Family Lawyer in the Spear’s Indices 2019. He was awarded the Career Achievement Award at the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards 2019, and is also recognised in the Honours list as a leading lawyer in family and matrimonial work, the highest category of the Citywealth Leaders List 2019.
