Joanne Thomas

I am a Senior Associate in the Family Wealth team at Freeths LLP.

I have specialised in all aspects of Family Law since qualifying in 2012, developing a particular expertise in advising on marital agreements, divorce, cohabitation disputes, financial matters arising from the unfortunate breakdown of a relation, and disputes concerning arrangements for children. I regularly advise on cases involving inherited wealth, family businesses, foreign property and complex legal issues.

I enjoy working with clients to achieve practical, long term solutions and I am a member of Resolution, a professional organisation committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes. Where formal Court proceedings are required, I am highly experienced in guiding and supporting my clients through the legal process.

I am recognised in The Legal 500 as a supportive and knowledgeable expert in medium to high net worth divorce and financial remedy matters.
