Joshua Walters

Joshua specialises in all areas of private law family including Private Law Children applications, Financial Remedy Proceedings, Family Law Act Applications (including Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders), proceedings under TOLATA and enforcement proceedings including committal proceedings.

• Private Law Children – Joshua has a particular interest in private children matters and regularly represents parents and family members throughout all stages of applications for Child Arrangement Orders, Prohibited Steps Orders and Specific Issue Orders including fact finding, final hearings and enforcement proceedings. He has experience of working with cases involving domestic violence and vulnerable parties and is able to give practical and focused advice for his clients.

• Financial proceedings – Joshua is regularly instructed at all stages of financial remedy proceedings including contested final hearings and applications to set aside orders. He is also experienced in representing and advising clients in enforcement proceedings, proceedings under TOLATA and Schedule 1 of the Children Act.

• Family Act Applications – Joshua is instructed regularly in applications for non-molestation and occupation orders and has represented clients through to contested final hearings.

• Enforcement proceedings – Joshua has represented clients at enforcement proceedings under the Children Act 1989, in proceedings to enforce orders under the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973 (including the variation and/or enforcement of periodical payments orders) and in committal proceedings. Joshua also has experience of drafting the documentation necessary to issue these proceedings.
