Louisa Adamson

Louisa is accredited by the Family Mediation Council to undertake mediations involving both finances and arrangements for children. She is able to conduct MIAM sessions. Louisa is adept at conducting online mediation sessions.

As well as being an accredited family mediator, Louisa is also a trained civil and commercial and workplace mediator. She is able to offer her family mediation clients the option of working together with their solicitors and/or within a ‘hybrid’ mediation process that can support separate meetings where suitable.

She has been a specialist family law barrister for over 20 years – working with parents, spouses, grandparents, children and local authorities – so brings to the mediation process an in-depth knowledge of the law and the factors that the court will take into account.

Louisa’s work also involves working with separating couples to resolve disputes over properties, assets acquired pre-/post-marriage, pensions, spousal maintenance agreements and financial provision for children.

Louisa has a strong reputation for her non-judgmental approach and the way that she considers not only the legal issues of a case but also the emotional and practical issues involved. As a mediator, her pragmatism and objectivity help her to understand what will shape your decisions and to ensure that you understand the implications of the choices you make.
