I’m a Chartered Financial Planner in independent practice; specialising in private client work, with a particular focus on pension matters.

I take a deliberately slow and consultative approach to clients or their legal advisers sort out their financial position. I invest a lot of free time with people so they don’t feel pressurised, trapped or worried about bills at a time when they are usually very vulnerable.

Outside of professional practice I’m an award-winning university lecturer in personal finance, an examiner and tutor for the London Institute of Banking & Finance (teaching the defined benefit pensions transfer paper) and I’m an adviser to The Pensions Ombudsman’s Early Resolution Team, working to resolve complex pension matters before matters require a formal Determination or Ruling.

My clients are concentrated around Cheshire, Conwy, Denbighshire, Derbyshire, Flintshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Central and North London, however, I’m happy to consider working with clients throughout England & Wales.

Whilst much of our work is traditional face-to-face handholding, we also work with clients by telephone and skype.
