Polly Jackman

I am a Consultant Solicitor and specialise in family law. I was previously known as Polly Barklem.

After studying Politics and International Relations at Manchester University, I pursued a Masters in Human Rights. I then worked in human rights abuse documentation in Thailand before returning to the UK to study law. I  trained as a solicitor with McCue & Partners, a niche firm specialising in human rights/public interest law, and completed a secondment at Camilla Baldwin, a Mayfair family law firm specialising in high and ultra-high net worth family matters.

In 2018, I gained Higher Rights of Audience. In 2019, I achieved a distinction in a Master of Laws in Advanced Legal Practice, and was made a partner at D&G Family Law.

I enjoy working as a Consultant.  I always aim to be approachable, and to provide clear, calm and concise legal advice to my clients, and to support them through what can be very difficult times. I advise on all areas of family law, including separation, divorce, cohabitation, civil partnerships and financial arrangements, but most often deal with disputes involving children. I have extensive and particular experience working with victims of domestic abuse. I am very happy to be instructed to provide advice “in the background” to those representing themselves in family law proceedings.
