Our committees are recruiting

Everything Resolution does is by members for members. One of the ways you can get involved and influence our work is by joining a committee.

We encourage applications from any member or associate member of Resolution. We want to improve the diversity of our committees and particularly welcome applications from members of diverse racial backgrounds, members with disabilities and members who are neurodivergent. We are also keen to welcome more financial and therapeutic professionals to join our committees as well as YRes members.

Who’s recruiting?

We’re currently recruiting to eight committees: Collaborative working party; International committee; Membership committee; National YRes committee; Parenting after parting committee; Pensions, tax and financial remedies committee; Publications committee and the Specialist Accreditation committee. The deadline for applications is 18th April.

Collaborative working party

The Collaborative working party engages and supports practitioners involved in collaborative work. They would like to recruit new members who are passionate about collaborative practice and are particularly keen to hear from family consultants – or other therapeutic professionals – and financial professionals who have experience of working regularly with separating couples and families.

International committee

The International committee aims to inform, educate, update and support Resolution members on the practice of international family law. They also work to influence policy, legislation and regulations. The committee brings together diverse practitioners with a broad set of expertise across the field of international family practice, and the type of practices they work in. They are particularly interested in recruiting members with expertise or experience in cross border financial remedy cases or in the recognition of foreign marriages and divorces.

Membership committee

The Membership committee promotes Resolution membership to future, former and existing members. The committee is looking for members from across all professions to help make sure Resolution membership benefits all members, to define membership categories and criteria, and support regional membership development officers.

National YRes committee

The National YRes Committee works to ensure YRes remains at the heart of all Resolution’s work and junior practitioners are integrated into Resolution at all levels, both regionally and nationally. The committee would like to recruit members with fewer than ten years’ experience and they are particularly interested in hearing from therapeutic professionals, financial advisors, and other family justice professionals.

Parenting after parting

The Parenting after parting committee is made up of a diverse group of individuals, including lawyers, mediators, co-parent coaches and therapists. Their passion is to help parents as they navigate the trauma of their separation or divorce. The committee works to provide information and resources in an accessible way for parents so they can help themselves and their children right from the beginning of their journey. If you have a passion for being part of a forward thinking (and fun) committee, they would love to hear from you.

Pensions, tax and financial remedies (PTFR) committee

The PTFR Committee focusses on shaping and influencing the rules, policy and legislation in relation to tax, pensions and financial remedies, whilst also developing information and guidance for Resolution members. This friendly and convivial committee is made up of specialists in their fields from across a range of disciplines and would particularly like to receive applications from members with pensions expertise.

Publications committee

The publications committee would like to recruit new members who are passionate about publishing and who want to be involved in the writing, reviewing  and planning of resources that support Resolution members. The committee are particularly interested in recruiting members with experience in the creation of social media content and encourage members who would be interested in joining a forward-thinking and lively committee. They welcome members from all professions so that Resolution’s content reflects its broad base membership. Therapeutic professionals are not currently represented on the committee so applications are welcome.

Specialist Accreditation committee

The Specialist Accreditation committee sets and maintains Resolution’s accreditation schemes. They work to uphold high standards of knowledge and practice and maintain the transparency and integrity of the schemes. The committee is made up of members from across a range of disciplines and would like YRes members (with or without accreditation) to join the committee to bring their particular insight and understanding.
