Background

Typically, the National Conference runs each year in a different location in the country. This year the conference will run on 16-17 May 2025 in Birmingham.

We’d like to hear from you

We would welcome proposals from all across the Resolution community. If you’d like to discuss your proposal first, please contact our Professional Development Team – training@resolution.org.uk

We aim for the Conference to appeal to the broadchurch of Resolution including the different professions, backgrounds, experiences and practices our members represent. We are especially keen to receive proposals from the full diversity of our membership; if you haven’t presented at Conference before please don’t feel excluded from this opportunity – you are welcome to contact us with any questions and to discuss your ideas prior to submitting a proposal.

Please refer to our EDI toolkit for workshops. This toolkit outlines the importance and our commitment to enhancing diversity and promoting equality of opportunity amongst all our staff and members.

When submitting a workshop idea, please consider:

  • Workshops are approximately 80 minutes.
  • Whether you would be willing to deliver it online or face-to-face. It may be that we contact you to further discuss the best fit.
  • There is a maximum of 3 speakers for your workshop. Please ensure you read the speaker terms at the bottom of the form before submitting.

One free full conference place will be allocated per workshop, which includes dinner and accommodation on the Friday night. If you are presenting jointly, the free place can be taken by one of you, or the value shared between the two/three speakers. The free place can only be used by speakers who are members of Resolution.
