Volunteers needed for focus group on the experiences of domestic abuse survivors

Back to news

Volunteers are needed for a focus group on the experiences of domestic abuse survivors of the Family Court system by researchers at the University of Oxford.

The Principal Investigator of this project is Professor Shazia Choudhry at the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford.  The aim of this research project is to find out more about the experiences of women survivors of domestic abuse of the family court system. The information collected as part of this research will help us to understand more about future improvements needed by the courts and the judiciary. Developing better practices can make family courts safer for survivors of domestic violence.

We are looking for judges, lawyers, and other court professionals with experience of the family court system.

You are invited to fill in a short online screening survey from which a random sample of participants will be selected to attend individual interviews online. The interview would take about 60 to 90 minutes of your time.

If you are interested and would like more information, please contact Dr Arantxa Gutierrez.

If you would like to participate, please fill in the screening survey.
