This introductory online course will give you an overview of domestic abuse, how it manifests itself and how you can identify if your client may have been a victim. Developed by Resolution's Domestic Abuse Committee, this course provides practical information and guidance on how to screen for domestic abuse and provide safeguarding.

This course is designed to help participants understand the key aspects of managing finances and pensions during a divorce. The course covers essential topics such as the treatment of pensions, calculating cash equivalent values, understanding investment risks, and the implications of associated businesses. It also addresses taxation, financial behavior, budgeting, and recent court judgments related to pensions on divorce.

This practical course enhances communication skills and improves working relationships at all levels. It focuses on high-level communication for client meetings, mediation, court appearances, and professional interactions. Emphasizing verbal and non-verbal cues, it highlights the powerful impact of words, especially in challenging client situations.

This bitesize training is specifically crafted to help you negotiate effectively with the opposing counsel to achieve successful out-of-court resolutions.

With the current situation following the coronavirus outbreak, we’ve had to postpone or cancel our programme of face to face courses and events in the first half of this year. In response, we will be increasing our offer of online training and learning. We would like to hear from you.

This online training package brings together experience and understanding of the current time and considers how best to get started in dispute resolution practice in family law. It leverages the latest insights and experiences relevant to the current times, ensuring that the content is both up-to-date and practical. The package is tailored to meet the needs of both newcomers and those looking to refresh their understanding of dispute resolution practices.

Resolution has re-developed its Collaborative Foundation training opening it up to lawyers, financial and therapeutic professionals. To support this, the programme is led by trainers from a mix of professions to promote the ethos of the ‘collaborative team’ and using the interdisciplinary model from the start of your practice.

Every three years Accredited Specialists must reaccredit to maintain their accredited status.

This Face to Face module is designed to deliver 10 hours of learning and development for members in order to consider how to work effectively with single clients, separating couples and keeping the need of children to the forefront of discussions. It can also be completed and used towards becoming a collaborative practitioner or mediator, as part of the Resolution Together overall learning and development pathway.
