Update on the CLA telephone service
The LAA have provided an update on the Civil Legal Advice telephone service.
With the introduction of new face to face contracts for Discrimination and Education, clients can be referred to a local face-to-face practitioner rather than having to use the specialists contracted through the CLA telephone service, if the client or their problem meets certain criteria. This is a transitional phase. From spring 2020, clients in these categories will no longer have to be assessed through the CLA service.
Family and Housing clients can always choose to be signposted or referred to a face to face service if they would prefer. More information
