National Conference 2027 and Dispute Resolution Conference – Workshop Proposals

We are now calling for workshop proposals for both our National Conference - to be held at the The Midland Hotel, Manchester on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 May - and our annual Dispute Resolution Conference - to be held in London on Friday 19 March. As always, we are looking to build a programme of workshops that reflects the full diversity of the Resolution community.

The deadline for proposals will be Wednesday 11 November 2026.

National Conference

National Conference runs each year in a different location in the country. This year the conference will run on Thursday 20 to Friday 21 May 2027 in Manchester.

Dispute Resolution Conference

Our annual Dispute Resolution conference will run on Friday 19 March 2027 in London. This one-day event is designed for all NCDR practitioners.

We would welcome proposals from all across the Resolution community. If you’d like to discuss your proposal first, please contact our Professional Development Team – [email protected]

We aim for the Conference to appeal to the broadchurch of Resolution including the different professions, backgrounds, experiences and practices our members represent. We are especially keen to receive proposals from the full diversity of our membership; if you haven’t presented at one of our events before please don’t feel excluded from this opportunity – you are welcome to contact us with any questions and to discuss your ideas prior to submitting a proposal.

In addition to hosting an NCDR focussed event in spring, we aim to integrate more NCDR related content at National Conference. We encourage workshop proposals on the many options and methods available to resolve disputes away from court for both events.

Please refer to our EDI toolkit for workshops. This toolkit outlines the importance and our commitment to enhancing diversity and promoting equality of opportunity amongst all our staff and members.

When submitting a workshop idea, please consider:

National Conference workshops are approximately 80 minutes. Sessions at the DR event are typically shorter, usually around 45 minutes – 1 hour.
There is a maximum of 3 speakers for your workshop. Please ensure you read the speaker terms at the bottom of the form before submitting.

For National Conference, one day pass will be allocated per workshop. This covers the Thursday and Friday conference days but does not include dinner or accommodation. If you are presenting jointly, the day pass can be taken by one of you, or the value shared between the two/three speakers. The free place can only be used by speakers who are members of Resolution.

For our DR event, speakers receive a 30% discount on their ticket. Speakers who are attending only to present their session will not be charged a fee. (Some exclusions apply, please see the information at the end of this form).

The deadline for submissions is Wednesday 11 November 2026.
