Apply – a new interface with the LAA

Apply is a new digital service which will be replacing CCMS when making applications for legal aid. The LAA has started testing the new Apply service with real applications submitted by providers, as they move into the ‘private beta stage’ of development. Three providers involved in the first tranche can use Apply to submit applications for passported clients in domestic abuse proceedings, all other work will continue to be submitted via CCMS.

The LAA says it is adopting a phased approach to the development of the Apply service, which allows its Digital team to seek feedback from users and make any necessary changes before more providers are brought onboard. Over the next few months more providers will be given access and the LAA will be keeping us informed.
