About

We are your local group covering Cambridge and West Suffolk – a large geographical area that stretches from Huntingdon and St Ives, through Cambridge, Newmarket and across to Bury St Edmunds.

We strive to provide regular low cost seminars, courses and updates that meet the needs of our local members. For the majority of our events, costs for trainees are subsidised.

We have an Annual Black Tie Dinner at one of the Cambridge Colleges, in conjunction with FLBA. This is a golden opportunity to meet members of Resolution National Committee, local judiciary, counsel and other legal professionals.

Our AGM is held in Cambridge each year, either in October or November and provides another chance to meet other local legals! In recent years this has been combined with a quiz which provokes great competition between the Bar and Judiciary!

We do charge for courses and events that we provide, however, we are a non-profit making organisation and ensure that our funds that we have raised locally go back into local charities that benefit the communities where we practice and live. Beneficiaries of our charitable donations include contact centres in Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds and Ely, a women’s Refuge, Cogwheel Trust, Relate, Homestart and others. If you would like to suggest a local charitable organisation that might benefit from a donation, please get in touch.

We welcome new members from across the region from trainees to experts! If you are interested in joining the committee please contact the Chair.
