Brigitte offers friendly, comprehensive and affordable family law advice on all issues arising from the breakdown of a relationship.

Brigitte qualified as a Solicitor in 2002 and immediately specialised in Family Law.  She therefore has a wealth of experience in advising on all family law matters including divorce, dissolution of civil partnership, separation, financial settlements and addressing the arrangements for any children of the family, such as where and with whom they are to live and when they are to spend time with the non-resident parent.

Brigitte also frequently advises and represents clients on applications to remove a child from the jurisdiction, as well as applications dealing with specific issues (such as a child’s schooling or medical treatment) when the parties are unable to reach agreement.

Brigitte recognises that making the first call to a solicitor for advice is a daunting experience for many people, especially at an already stressful and emotional time in their lives, and she aims to make the initial contact as easy and comfortable as possible.  The initial appointment is offered free of charge to enable the client and Brigitte to get to know each other and for initial advice to be given on the client’s options and the likely costs involved.

Brigitte aims to make professional family law advice affordable for all by offering a range of services with a variety of payment options. These options are openly discussed at the first meeting with the aim of agreeing the best way forward for the client whilst taking into account their financial situation.

As a member of Resolution, Brigitte has a non-confrontational approach to resolving the issues faced by her client and, wherever possible, seeks to establish a constructive working relationship with the other party, or their representative, from the start.  First and foremost Brigitte is mindful of doing everything possible to minimise the impact of the breakdown on any children of the family.  Brigitte’s approach ensures that her clients receive professional and appropriate advice, in complete confidence, at the time they need it the most.

Brigitte is largely based in Eastbourne and Brighton but offers great flexibility in when and where she meets clients, resulting in her representing clients throughout the South East and sometimes beyond!
