My approach to providing legal advice is that it should be practical, and easy to digest. It can be easy to overlook the stress and anxiety people can experience during a break-up, and how this impacts on their ability to make life-changing decisions. Separating couples don’t always need technical legal advice straight away, but they will usually benefit from help with making practical arrangements. Separation and divorce should be low-impact, for both the separating couple and any children who may be affected.
I firmly believe that divorce doesn’t have to bring devastating consequences for personal finances, or relationships with children. I am passionate about client service. Expertise, integrity and discretion are at the heart of what I do. The overwhelming majority of my clients achieve out-of-court settlements, which I attribute to my conciliatory, child-focused approach and wealth of experience in this fast-moving area of law.
I am also one of a small number of lawyers to hold the government’s ‘Help and Support for Separated Families’ mark, due to my continuing commitment to reducing conflict between parents.
I advise on all aspects family Law, including divorce, dissolution & separation; financial provision including property adjustment, lump sums, pensions & maintenance; cohabitation disputes; arrangements for children; prenuptial & separation agreements.
