Michael Gouriet

I have been fortunate to have been practising family law at market leading firm Withers LLP for nearly 30 years.

I am proud to have been a member of Resolution since 1995, and have been on the Cohabitation Working Group since its inception in that year.

I advise on all aspects of family law with particular emphasis on the resolution of complex financial issues for clients – whether married or unmarried – and often with international interests. I have acted in numerous divorce cases involving business and trust interests. I also have extensive experience advising on children law matters, and have been involved in many cases involving international relocation.

I have chaired and lectured at various family law conferences in England and abroad. I am a certified family law arbitrator, and a trained collaborative lawyer.

I have been described in the legal directories as ‘a first class lawyer’ with ‘encyclopaedic knowledge’ and ‘highly intelligent, very efficient and a pleasure to deal with – a really strong practitioner’.
