Donna Goodsell

I practise all aspects of Family Law, including the breakdown of marriage and civil partnerships, cohabitation disputes, divorce and financial settlements, separation, emergency freezing and domestic abuse injunctions, pre and post nuptial agreements, and all issues involving children. As every case is unique, I use my expertise and experience to provide a bespoke service to each individual client.  Depending on the circumstances, my approach may involve careful negotiation with other solicitors, or firm litigation within the court process, as necessary to meet my clients’ needs.

I represent clients from various backgrounds, including business owners, investment bankers, professionals and artisans. I specialise in complex financial disputes, often following divorce, or trust disputes relating to the ownership of property. I am highly experienced in every aspect of private law children matters, including Child Arrangements and Prohibited Steps orders, specific issues such as education, residential and contact disputes, and regularly, applications for permission to leave the jurisdiction (either for the applicant or respondent).

A number of my clients are referrals from previous clients. I am a collaboratively trained solicitor who enjoys Advanced Level membership of the Law Society Family Law Panel and Resolution Accredited Specialisms in both Complex Financial Disputes and Children Law. I am a member of Resolution Dispute Resolution and Equality Diversity and Inclusion Committees, and I act as a mentor to those embarking on a career in Law.
