Farhana is a Partner at Streathers in their central London office (Baker Street) as well as an accredited family law specialist, a collaborative lawyer and qualified mediator.
Farhana has built up more than 20 years’ experience in family law, including at various regional and central London firms where she has held Partner and Head of Department roles.
Farhana has extensive expertise across the full family law spectrum, including divorce and separation, cohabitation and children cases. She has additional skills in supporting clients in same sex relationships, modern families and clients from a faith background, including those of Jewish or Islamic heritage.
She is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in both financial and children cases as well as being a Law Society Family Law Panel member. Farhana has a reputation for her strategic, yet sensitive, handling of complex cases with both a financial and children component.

A dedicated and forward-thinking family lawyer, Farhana holds various positions that reflect her commitment to the profession together with her dispute resolution credentials. She is a Resolution Director (one of only 20 nationwide) , a member of Resolution’s Publications Committee and sits on Resolution’s National Committee.
Farhana is also a passionate advocate of women’s rights as well as being very interested in the relationship between marital breakdown and menopause. She regularly contributes to national and regional media stories on the subject of family law and helped to co-author the latest Resolution Family Law Handbook and is contributing to another publication on spousal maintenance due in 2024.
