Lauren Preedy

I joined Ian Walker Family Law and Mediation in April 2020. I qualified in 2006 and worked previously at a Top 100 firm in Bristol and then locally in Taunton. I have practised exclusively in family law since my qualification.

I have a particular expertise in the resolution of financial matters and dealing with cases that have a complex element – such as a business, pension, multiple properties, foreign assets, pre acquired or inherited assets. I have acted for numerous business owners and farming clients.

I seek to ensure fairness prevails and to obtain excellent financial results for my clients. I provide bespoke legal and practical advice. I pride myself on being approachable and available to clients.

Appointments can be arranged to suit the need of a client. I provide a mix of financial, business and practical advice along with supporting the emotional needs of a client. I am calm and mindful of each client’s needs and aspirations.

I am a trained Collaborative Solicitor but will advise client’s to pursue claims through the Court, if necessary.

I am Chair of Somerset Resolution. My colleague, Ian Walker, is the Chair of Devon Resolution.

I enjoy spending my leisure time with my family and friends and I am a member of The Arts Society and a member of  Toppers Carnival club.
