Spotlight on skills | Video: Advocacy skills
This webinar was recorded on 28th October and focuses on advocacy skills for family practitioners as part of 'Spotlight on Skills'.
The session delivered by Eleanor Keehan and Elliw Roberts, both barristers at St Johns Buildings, will focus on advocacy skills in the context of the most common hearings undertaken by family practitioners (private, public law, matrimonial finances and injunctions).
The session will consider:
- top tips and things to avoid during oral advocacy
- a discussion about submission-based advocacy in hearings commonly encountered by junior advocates and
- a brief witness-handling demonstration.
