David Emmerson

David has many years experience of resolving difficult and complex financial and children issues for couples when their relationship breaks down.  David has a very high success rate in resolving cases both as a mediator  or when assisting one person in court or out of court resolution. The vast majority of cases with clients resolve positively without the need for protracted expensive litigation.  However, where litigation is absolutely necessary David has the resolve and firmness to provide the necessary support and results that can be achieved through litigation.  David receives a number of referrals through websites and social media but the vast majority of his referrals are from previous clients, fellow professionals and judges because of David’s  success rates and the essential support he provides for clients.  David ensures that any results focus on the needs of children and achieves outcomes that enable the clients to move forward positively and successfully in the new chapters of their lives. David writes for Thomson Reuters, Lexis Nexis and Resolution on family law matters.

David also is a part-time judge specialising in family finance and children cases.  This valuable experience is put to excellent use in both his mediation and client cases. In 2004 David was awarded and OBE for Legal Services in the Queen’s birthday honours list.
